Brake light backup camera

The third brake-light backup camera system, designed for the 2015 Ford Transit, integrates into the vehicle and replaces the third brake light on the vehicle, giving the entire system a clean, factory-like install.

The RVS-920 gives drivers a crisp image, regardless of the current lighting conditions. The waterproof camera includes a one-year warranty, a 15ft cable, and an RCA adapter.

Polymer electrolytic capacitors

The T591 high-performance, automotive-grade polymer electrolytic series delivers stability and endurance under harsh humidity and temperature conditions.

The extensions deliver low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and improved capacitance retention at higher frequencies, allowing for miniaturization and piece count reduction. The qualification plan was based on AEC-Q200 guidelines and the products are manufactured in an ISO TS 16949 certified plant. The series is available with production part approval process (PPAP), part submission warrant (PSW), and change control notification.

Low-dropout voltage regulator

The AEC-Q100 qualified low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) features a dropout of 100mV at 300mA. The MAQ5300 comes in a 2mm x 2mm DFN package for space-constrained applications that are subjected to harsh environments and temperatures.

The front-, rear-, and side-view camera modules and image sensors represent a key component of connected car visibility systems. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will require all new passenger and some commercial vehicles to meet new rear-visibility standards by May 2018.

Spring-loaded pull handle

The spring-loaded 67 concealed pull features a triggered handle and all-metal construction, providing higher strength and improved industrial design.

The O-ring styled handle stores inside of the housing when not in use. When triggered via push-button operation, the pull automatically releases the handle, providing a convenient grip for opening doors or panels.

Tech-based toolkit

Version 4.2.0 of the Most PCI tool kit further eases the simulation of technology-based automotive infotainment systems and devices for rapid prototyping, verification, and test.

With Most stream, received audio and video data can instantly be played back via connected speakers and a graphical user interface (GUI)-integrated, open-source multimedia cross-platform VLC player, or stored on the hard drive. The VLC player can be directly used for the immediate playback of digital transmission content protection (DTCP)-free, isochronous video data with a length of up to 196 bytes per frame and PCR timing.

Radar-based driver-assistance

The generation 3.5 radar sensor system presents 24GHz radar-based driver-assistance technology. In addition to blind spot detection, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and rear pre-crash functionalities, the new system adds a fifth function: the exit alert function, currently in pre-production, alerts the driver of pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles when exiting the car.

One-step connection of multiple coaxial cables

The multi-terminal GT36 series, a small wire-to-board connector, reduces the installation time of automotive rooftop antennas, providing a one-step connection of multiple coaxial cables to the PCB, simplifying the mating operation.

The compact GT36 series internal wire-to-board connector enables the attachment of four coaxial lines to automotive antennas including shark fin antennas. The GT36 series has a rugged positive lock structure that offers a lock strength of 98N. A clear tactile snap and audible click ensures proper mating, while a lock guard prevents cable tangling during wiring and accidental lock release. The reliable plug assembly features a retainer that delivers secure terminal locking and high vibration resistance.

Delivering frequency performance up to 3GHz, the GT36 Series wire-to-board connector provides high impedance matching and low insertion loss. When used with the GT21 series in-line connector, the GT36 series simplifies assembly and improves efficiency. The one-to-four position GT21 Series in-line connector features low insertion force and is attachable with a clip.
